Opportunities in soups, sauces and dressings
Data taken from the Big Food Guide 2011shows that while expenditure on pasta sauces is forecast to increase, other key growth products include salad dressings (+€75m) and chilled soups (+€71m).
Total consumption of Soups, Sauces and Dressings in Western Europe reached 10.6m tonnes in 2006 up from 10.3m tonnes in 2001 with Culinary Fats and Oils (3.6m tonnes) and Bouillon / Similar (3.5m litre equivalent) accounting for a large share of the market.
